Green Grocery Bag Game Is Extreme Sport

Getting groceries has gotten complicated. Now I’m all for reuse, reduce and recycle, but buying bananas has become stressful. It started when we switched to cloth bags; buying them, that was easy, remembering to bring the darn things into the store, well that was harder. I’d get to the cash and realize my bags were still in my car. There I would be at the cash, feeling like the “The Destroyer of the Earth.” But I’ve mastered that part now. My bags ride in the front passenger seat. Sorry sweetheart, you have to sit in the back, if I move the bags, the earth with implode.

June’s Ok But July is Awesome

Whew. June is over. It seems to me that June is the warm version of December -without the presents. We’re so busy but it’s a good busy. There are dance recitals, school trips, soccer, football, and vacation planning. Plus since it’s finally nice outside we’re out doing yard work and home improvements.

The Four Week Experiment

Losing weight is not fun. See I had this bet last month with two of my male friends on who could come closest to meeting their weight loss goal in four weeks. I had no idea when we began that I was at a disadvantage. Everyone keeps telling me that it’s easier for guys to lose weight – figures. And yes it does seem that I’m already making excuses and I’ve yet to tell you the results – which we’ll get to.

Doritos One, Metabolism Zero

Ok I’m about to write something that will immediately make a lot of you hate me. Deep breath, here it goes – I’ve always been naturally thin. Sorry. I know it seems unfair right, I eat what I want, move as much as I like and the weight doesn’t stick to me. Like Teflon – except my Teflon seems to be getting worn-out, especially around the middle. Now, my pants are a little tight. Ok, truth time. I can’t do most of them up. And the ones I can aren’t very comfortable. What is happening to me? Is my fast metabolism getting tired?
