Be Thankful For Old Folks With Time To Do Math And Get Mean

Old people who drive the speed limit and stall traffic, take forever chatting up busy cashiers, and shuffle for blocks with their walkers to save a buck, can be a pain for those who are younger and busier. But society is lucky to have these old folks.

Lament For A Passion

When Hector sought approval to seek a seat on the executive of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, Garrison and MacLeod Kane, frequent opponents of Hector and other moderates on Council, saw it as an opportunity to embarrass her by denying the request. Fortunately, a majority of Council voted down this petty, personal attack on a fellow councilor.

Moving is not for the faint hearted!

The experts who rate moving among the most stressful experiences in life, are wrong. If they ever tried to register a change of address with Utilities Kingston (PUC) or watched my husband agonize over parting with socks that are older than me, they would give moving the gold medal it deserves.
